How is it injected, and what is the skin like afterwards?
Treatment begins with a skin assessment and a discussion of your health history, followed by selection of the product and treatment area. The skin is then prepared and appropriate pain-reduction methods considered. The HYCOOX programme still uses needles to introduce product into the skin, so discomfort is possible even with automatic injection.
Needle marks, raised bumps, redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness may follow treatment. Some effects can last several days, and longer for some people. Allow time for these marks if you have an important event or travel plans. Immediate fullness cannot yet be used to judge the result, because swelling may still be present. [5][6]
How many sessions, and what follow-up is needed?
The number of sessions and follow-up schedule depend on the product, skin concerns and response to treatment. The HYCOOX programme does not have a separate course length independent of the injectable. How long results last needs evidence for that product.
For example, the M-HA10 study assessed results after 3 sessions. The periocular PN study used 3 sessions, 2 weeks apart. These are the protocols of the individual studies, not one schedule for every HYCOOX programme. [2][3]
